Annual plant sale

The annual Plant Sale was on Saturday 9th May. As always, it was very popular and the tea, coffee and homemade cakes went down well.

History of National Open Gardens

A very enjoyable evening with a brief history of National Open Gardens by Hildegard Wiesenhofer, County organiser for Derbyshire. She explained how it all started and how next year it will be its centenary. With the charities they support and encourage everyone to visit a least one garden

BBC Gardeners Question Time

On 23rd September, Darley Dale Horticulture Society hosted Radio 4 Gardeners Question Time in the Whitworth Institute. The gardening experts answered questions from 20 people, including, committee members Wendy Winter & Sue Thompson. It was an excellent and informative evening! With thanks to Sue Thompson and the committee for making this evening possible.
